Two copies of the cream gene strongly lighten both red and black pigment, so the horse looks almost white with pink skin.
Unlike a grey, a cremello has pink skin and blue eyes. Unlike a white horse, the coat is cream rather than snow-white.
The color is especially famous in Akhal-Tekes. The Russian name is often linked to Queen Isabella of Spain, but no one knows the exact story.
What to use: cream or milk-white plush, white yarn and blue felt eyes. Free hobby horse pattern →
